Dinner with Andrew Gruel

Andrew Gruel who you may recognize from his appearances on Fox News. Gruel took Tony Strickland’s seat as he moved to the State Senate, representing District 36. Andrew Gruel is an acclaimed chef and owner of Calico Fish House in Huntington Beach and the seafood chain Slapfish.

Gruel is a staunch Republican and a diehard supporter of the MAGA agenda. Gruel became politically active during the COVID-19 pandemic. He accused the state of investigating him for labor violations as retaliation for criticizing lockdowns. Gruel will hold the City Council seat through the remainder of Strickland’s term, which ends in December of 2026.
